The farm shop and cafe sells home reared and local produce, and serves home cooked meals. The neighbouring village of Newton-on-Ouse, 2 miles, has two popular pubs. The historic city of York is 7 miles away from the cottage, and is easily accessible from the Rawcliffe park and ride. Visitors can enjoy the world renowned sights including the iconic minster, Cliffords Tower and the National Railway Museum. The cobbled streets are lined with ancient buildings, museums, art galleries and quaint traditional tea shops. Visit the elegant spa town of Harrogate, the World Heritage Site at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, or drive out to the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors.
